Wie lange habe ich auf diesen Tag gewartet? Nachdem mir die Verfilmung von James Dashners ersten Bands in der Maze Runner Trilogie so gut gefiel, bin ich in ein tiefes Fangirl-Loch gestürzt.

Nachdem es doch wieder etwas ruhiger auf unserem Blog war, will ich heute mit einer Filmrezension zu The Maze Runner wieder einsteigen und stolz verkünden, dass ich nun das Projekt 'bookjunkies-rezi' wieder voll anpacken werde - seid gespannt ;)

Aber fangen wir mal mit der Rezi an, denn nachdem ich lange Sauer darüber war, dass The Maze Runner bei uns erst Ende Oktober ins Kino kommen würde, schrieb Dani mir am Freitag, dass wir ins Kino gehen würden - aus irgendeinem Grund liefe The Maze Runner schon.

Nun wusste ich, dass in Deutschland der Erscheinungstermin von Ende Oktober auf Mitte Oktober vorgeschoben wurde, doch von einem Vorschub in Österreich fand ich nie etwas im Internet.

Groß war die Freude dann, als man mir mitteilte, dass am Freitag Kinoabend für uns war.

Ich kann direkt schon sagen, dass ich hier nicht ohne Spoiler rezensiere. Also keine großen, nur etwas zur Geschichte des zweiten und dritten Bandes, die etwas vorwegnehmen können.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.

Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every thirty days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.
